One woman saw our Alpha course
advertised on a poster and became a
guest because she wanted answers to
questions. Here she tells something of her
story ...
What were your first
impressions of Alpha?
It was very friendly and welcoming. The
talk was easy to understand and clear, the
meal was lovely, and I was pleased to find
other people there that I could relate to.
What was the course like?
I enjoyed the talks and the discussion
groups. I felt safe – I could ask anything I
liked, I wasn’t forced into anything, and I
could just take things at my own speed. It
was very informative - I got the guidance I
was looking for. And at one point in the
course when I got very upset about some
issues, people really cared for me and
helped me to find God.
What difference has
it made to you?
I have become a Christian and feel a great
sense of belonging to God. I feel clearer
about parts of my life. I have become
calmer and happier. I am trying to live my
life in a better way. I’m now really
interested in reading the Bible and going
to church! I feel different. I feel excited. It’s
the same me but I’ve started a new life!
