Do you wrestle with the big questions of
life? Would you like a relaxed, friendly
environment in which to explore them with
others?
Alpha is a course which attracts people of
different ages and backgrounds who share
an interest in discovering more about
Christianity.
It runs over 10 weeks, beginning with a
look at Jesus – who he was and why he
died – and then branching out into other
aspects of faith such as reading the Bible
and prayer.
Each week starts with a meal (evening
course only) followed by a talk on a
relevant subject. After the talk, guests
break into discussion groups where they
can ask the questions that they want.
The taster evening for the next course is
on Tuesday 24 January 2012. It’s a
chance to meet others who might join the
course, hear the first of the Alpha talks,
share some good food, and get a sense of
what the course is like. You are not
committing yourself to the full course if you
come to this taster session.
