Do you wrestle with the big questions of life? Would you like a relaxed, friendly environment in which to explore them with others? Alpha is a course which attracts people of different ages and backgrounds who share an interest in discovering more about Christianity. It runs over 10 weeks, beginning with a look at Jesus – who he was and why he died – and then branching out into other aspects of faith such as reading the Bible and prayer. Each week starts with a meal (evening course only) followed by a talk on a relevant subject.  After the talk, guests break into discussion groups where they can ask the questions that they want. It’s a chance to meet others who might join the course, hear the first of the Alpha talks, share some good food, and get a sense of what the course is like. You are not committing yourself to the full course if you come to this taster session. If you think you might be interested, then contact the Church Office to register (see the Contact Us page) or take a look at http://www.alpha.org/ to find out more. Our next course starts here on Tuesday  27th September 2016 at 7pm with a taster evening. There will be a meal, followed by a short talk about the Alpha Course and at the end of the evening there will be an opportunity if you wish to, to sign up for the course that will start the following Tuesday evening.
