Ken Benjamin
Victoria Jones
Colin Clark
Ken came to Chichester in 1996
to join CBC, first to be the
Associate Minister and then, since
2000, the Senior Minister. He is
married to Sue, and they have
two children, their daughter Zoe
and son, Alex. He enjoys time
with the family especially in their
VW camper as well as playing
tennis or playing golf or watching
others play sport properly.
Vic joined the staff of CBC as
Childrens Ministry and Pastoral
Leader in 2007. Vic oversees the
ministry to 0-10 years. She is
passionate about teaching
children the truths of God’s word.
Vic and her husband Gav have 4
children and a very loud
household! Vic has taken up
running (very slowly and very
badly) really so that she can still
enjoy fruit and nut chocolate, as
often as possible!
After living in Chichester for a
while, Colin and his wife Jenni
came to CBC in 1988 following
the birth of their first daughter. In
partnership with the national
charity Christians Against
Poverty Colin runs the free
Chichester debt counselling
service along with an amazing
team of volunteers that support
the centre and clients. Colin likes
to spend time relaxing with his
family that includes 3 grandsons.
Mark Stratton
Mark joined CBC in 2005 after
moving down from Horsham to
become the Youth and Students
Ministry Leader at the church.
Mark has a background in music
and enjoys being part of the
worship team at the Church. He
also enjoys DVD box sets and just
about every type of food!
(Especially Krispy Kreme
Donuts!!!)
Paul Woodfield
Paul became the Church
Administrator in April 2009. He
loves the job despite the
occasional challenge of finding
the rightful owner of the latest
item of lost property to be left in
the office as well as sorting out
those church leaders! A
longsuffering Hammers fan, an
occasional ornithologist, a
relaxing evening for him would be
with a glass of red wine and a
nice curry.
Roger Hubert
Roger joined the staff of CBC in
December 2003 as part-time
Church Ministry Leader. His heart
is to see people “transformed by
the renewing of their minds”. He is
married to Helen, and they have
two children: Claire and Nat. He
loves squash, racketball and
football, and making occasional
trips with his son to the place
where real football is played: the
Emirates stadium.
Chris Price
Chris moved to West Sussex in
1985, and after marrying Tim she
became a member of CBC. When
her youngest child started school
she took on the role of
administrator for the church and
later became the church
accountant. A relaxing weekend
would normally include joining
Tim for a walk around the harbour
or in the Downs usually stopping
off at a pub for refreshment.
Ellen Wild
Camilla Shergold
Ellen joined the team here at CBC
in November 2011 as another
minister. She had previously
spent 8 years at a church in SW
London. She is married to Kevin
and they have two young boys,
Zachary and Alexander. Ellen
loves baking, running, theatre,
coffee shops and inspiring people
to share the good news of God's
love.
Camilla has worked as a
volunteer and administrator with
Colin Clark, for Christians Against
poverty for 2 years. Now she is
working with the team alongside
Colin as debt coach.
I love to meet people
demonstrating the love He first
showed me. Having first
experienced the trauma of debt, I
can appreciate what some people
go through and face.
Through Christians Against
Poverty, God helped my husband
and I through the challenge of
debt. He gave us new hope and a
fresh start. I love to relax with my
husband and 4 children.
Who are we?
Our church is a group of people
drawn from all over Chichester
and the surrounding area. We
come together to try to help
people to commit to and become
more like Jesus. The activities of
the church are dependent on the
huge numbers of volunteers who
serve in a wide variety of ways.
Alongside those who volunteer we
have a staff team listed here.
