CBC Blog Help
Before being able to comment on the CBC Blog, you have to have a Google or Blogger Account. To do this, if you haven't already signed up for one, go to one of the following:
You can create a Google Account with or without a Blogger Account. You don't need a Google Email Account. You can use your own current working email address to register with. Make sure you set a secure password over 8 characters long.
If you haven't already got Mozilla's Thunderbird 2, DOWNLOAD and install it on your computer.
In the main Thunderbird window you will now see 'News and Blogs' on the left above 'Local Folders', click 'Chichester Baptist Blog' to see articles arrived from the CBC Blog. You will notice the first time this downloads that all the articles in the CBC Blog will have arrived. In the future, just the new articles will arrive. If you want to comment on the articles that arrive, just visit the CBC website and click the 'CBC Blog' link in the normal way. - eg. Click the article heading link to open the 'Article Web Page', then click the 'Post a Comment' link. You will have to enter your Google username and password before you can publish your comment of course. On any of the 'Article web pages' you will notice another 'Post Comments (Atom)' link at the bottom of the page. Hovering your mouse over this link will reveal the article address at the bottom of the window. If you subscribe as described above with this unique article address as well, you will also be emailed when people publish their comments about the relevant article. Once all the comments have stopped arriving you would need to delete the articles subscription in Thunderbird though, so you may not think it worth bothering to do this unless there are likely to be lots of comments about an article published. |
